So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.
It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?
I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.
Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.

Don't know if this book was for YA readers or not didn't see anything saying it was but that's how it read. I read the whole story thinking maybe the second half they would be all grown up and the story would go on from that point but it didn't. This wasn't terrible but not my cup of tea.
Caleb moves in with Gianna, the beautiful one, and her family and soon learns that Gigi is hiding something. She isn't quite the beauty queen she portrays. Caleb vows to show her true colors. Then they fall for each other and the battle begins. It's a fight against everyone for them to be together. But what a drop dead cliffhanger and I hate those
You're. Gonna love this book. It hot and romantic. Even thought I think it starts out quick between Caleb and Brianna, but beck they are both hilarious. I love celebs overprotectivness and how possessive he is and I love Brianna,she's really cool. She kick butt and she gives back what she's given. I also thought Jared was such a good friend as well as cece. BUT!!!I just couldn't believe giana' s mom, and what she did at the end....the only thing that sucksi that the 2nd book is nowhere to be found!!!supposedly it wastelands November2013.... anyway guys read this book!!!!it Hanna laugh you butt of at Caleb' s and gianna's taunts...
Except for being appalled at how much of a sex addict the teenage H is, OTT, IMO, the romance is cute with very well done banter. The story flows well, and I haven't noticed any dragging parts.
I also dislike how the 16year old h has no real morals, and the step father lets the teens run off together, without supervision, even knowing how his son treats girls.
It is an interesting read, nonetheless, and the author does have the H all protective and alpha. I think it would have been better to make them college age or older. ( marriage age, in other words). 16 is too young for a true HEA.
Great love hate romance with the STEP brother. Really funny one liners and I really enjoyed there fight/loving relationship.
Caleb is the super sexy bad boy that every girl falls for and his step sister is no different. It was cool how the story talks about how people always this that the beautiful people have it easier and this story shows you all the down sides to when all people see is a beautiful face. I both love and hate how much these two are in love. kind of get sick of it BUT in saying that I think I will be buying the next one in this series to find out what is going to happen because just like a car crash I cant look away!
I have never read a YA book with this step-sibling love plot. [I suspect there is plenty of porn that uses this plot.]. I am happy to report that April Brookshire has pulled it off. Gianna, like many teenage girls who fall in love, submits to a hormonal fog, pushing aside all that she has accomplished (excellent gpa, reliable school and dance class attendance, staying out of trouble) to pursue the boy she wants (her step-brother). Handsome, artistic Caleb has no trouble ditching his past (a police record, a no-attachments string of willing young women) so that he can match up (in one week) with popular, exceptionally attractive, intelligent, athletic Gianna.
Plot regrets I am sorry the mother, a housewife whose teenage years and dreams were interrupted with an unplanned pregnancy, leads such a troubled life. She works alone in the kitchen making meals with no assistance from the rest of her selfish family, who come when she calls "dinner's ready!" and (sensibly) requests they wash their hands. I am sorry Gianna's dad, a plastic surgeon, jumped ship for another city and life far from his two young children. They need him, and his re-married ex-wife could use a hand raising them, especially their newly-rebellious daughter. *spoiler* The new husband, Caleb's dad, made a fool's choice when he kept his son's secret over openness and problem-solving with his wife. He made his (now empty) bed. Back to his bachelor condo he goes.
