I received the book today. I excitedly opened it and it didn't take long for my excitement to fade. There is some good, general information on essential oils. But for me, I was so disappointed that it is another marketing book for Young Living essential oils.Pros: 1. There is general information on single oils and what benefits individual oils can provide to a client. 2. Some of the scripts that are provide are good.
Cons: 1. As a certified hypnotist, some of the scrips are fine but others seem a bit out there. 2. Please, enough of the special oil blends made only by Young Living. Just say what is in the oil blend and if the individual wants to make it, great; if they want to purchase it premade, great. But to list so many YL blends is not helpful. I don't use YL oils; I use oils from other well-documented, high-quality companies. 3. Where is the information on the chemotype benefits of the oils? As a certified aromatherapist, it's the chemotype that makes the real therapeutic benefit to the client.
Bottom line for me: I am very open to energy practices, holistic approaches to life, and I've had a lot of training that I've put into practice. Maybe someone starting out would find this book helpful or others who do use YL products.

This book is a wonderful book in that it gives so many great ways to integrate the use of therapeutic grade oils into my healing practice. It is simple and easy to read. I feel so inspired while i am reading and then when i put to use all the wonderful new things i have learned. I highly recommend this book for any healing practitioner looking to learn new ways to integrate the oils into their healing practice and help guide their clients into a more peaceful place inside themselves.
Excellent source of information on the use of essential oils in meditative practice as well as more therapeutic applications. Well written, clear and simply interesting!
I took an alchemical hypnotherapy training years ago and was looking forward to receiving new ideas about using it and oils together. The book is basic and does not offer depth. Good for beginners.
